We want you to meet Marisol, a young mom we’ve had the privilege of walking alongside this past year. But if you hadn’t intervened, Marisol’s story may have gone very differently.

Another baby wasn’t part of her plan.

Marisol was already a mom to a beautiful little girl whom she loves dearly.

But for the first time, she felt like she was beginning to pursue some of the things she had put on hold during those early years of her daughter’s life.

“I was finally feeling like I could achieve some of the goals I paused for my daughter’s interests. Starting to work, having a little more time for myself.”

But then Marisol discovered she was pregnant.

“I was definitely not planning or expecting another baby. So I felt like I had to pause my dreams for a second time.”

Marisol immediately began searching online for a place where she could confirm her pregnancy. She says she wanted to be “100% sure.”

“I think I was in shock.”

That search, however, led Marisol to Alcove Health.

And from the moment she walked through our doors, something began to change.

“As soon as I met everybody who works there, I felt calm, the whole staff is so kind, nice, lovely, and positive. The experience and the way they make you feel is pure happiness. I want to especially thank Sherri for all she did for me.”

But there was more. Marisol shared something even more vulnerable about where she was emotionally: “I was broken and not sure about having another baby.”
