Protect What You’ve Built – Serve Moms. Save Babies.

Be Proud of What You Built

For almost 40 years, women facing their darkest days—pregnant, afraid, and alone—have found you waiting for them through the ministry of Care Net Peninsula and our free women’s clinic, Alcove Health.

This ministry didn’t happen by accident.

It took sacrifice, commitment, and faithfulness.

And you were faithful.

You stood in the gap, creating a space that rescues both mama and baby. Time and time again, you provided the help and hope she needed to choose life for her baby.

In the five years since COVID, our clinic has doubled the number of clients we serve each year and tripled the number of abortion-minded women we reach. And because of your faithfulness, more than half of the abortion-minded women we served last year chose life for their babies.

This is exactly why you are part of the Care Net Peninsula family. Babies, children, and adults are alive today because of the ministry you’ve built.

Like baby Joey, born this past February. His mom came to our clinic to find out how war along she was, with the intention of aborting him, but in her own words, she “came out choosing life.”

There you are, right in the middle of her and Joey’s story. Because of you, this didn’t become an abortion story—it’s Joey’s story.

His living story

Just before her due date, Joey’s mom wrote to share how much she would’ve missed had she chosen abortion, she and Joey have the life they were meant to share.

a new threat to life in virginia

As we look ahead, we’re not going to be distracted. We’re staying laser-focused on babies just like Joey, but we have to share about a real threat we see coming to the ministry.

Right now, our General Assembly is in the process to amend our state constitution with a “right to abortion”.

This is a threat to future generations of Virginians: babies, girls, and women. And it’s also a threat to the ministry you’ve invested in all these years.

Care Net Peninsula could land in the crosshairs if this amendment passes: our very mission could be considered unconstitutional right here in Virginia.

Multiple states have made the “right to abortion” a fundamental right; we need only look at them to see the implications for us if this amendment passes.

  • Massachusetts: The state actively campaigns against pro-life pregnancy centers by targeting the language they can use with patients.
  • New Jersey and Washington State: Unfounded investigations are robbing pro-life pregnancy centers of valuable resources and time by requiring years of records without any proof of wrongdoing.
  • New York and California: Pro-life pregnancy centers are being sued for talking about the Abortion Pill Reversal Process (a process that has saved over 6,000 lives to date, some right here in our area).
  • Illinois: State law is forcing pro-life pregnancy centers to promote abortion, even requiring them to refer for abortion.

If this amendment passes, Virginia won’t be safe from this type of overregulation.

we need you now more than ever!

You’ve risen to the occasion every time we’ve asked. We needed diapers, you sent us diapers. We needed more staff, you funded new staff positions. When our space limited who we could serve, you gave us a building.

You have faithfully built the ministry of Care Net Peninsula through giving, your time, and your prayers. You’ve loved women, babies, and families well. You’ve loved us, the staff, too.

But what we need from you now is to vote.

On November 4th, Virginia voters will choose the delegates who decide if the “right to abortion”. amendment moves forward. We’re asking you to stand for life at the ballot box.

We pray one day, you’ll look back knowing your investment in Care Net Peninsula has mattered, for thousands of babies, like Joey. But future lives will be threatened or protected by the choices we make today.

Let the lives you’ve already saved—your living legacy—inspire your vote and your continued stand for generations yet to live.

YOUR GIVING MATTERS,

YOUR GIVING SUSTAINS THE MISSION.

Action Needed: Protect Life in VA

For years, our work has quietly and effectively saved lives. We’ve focused on the woman and baby in front of us, not politics. But today, I must step outside my comfort zone, and maybe yours too, to warn you about a threat that puts everything we do at risk.

Even in the Hardest Seasons, Hope Remains

One of the greatest privileges we have at Care Net Peninsula and Alcove Health is witnessing firsthand the way your generosity changes lives. Every gift you give becomes a lifeline of hope, strength, and encouragement for women right here in our community. Today, I want to share with you a letter we received from Mircile, a mom whose life, and little boy, Ja’Mari’s life, have been forever impacted by your support.

“As I reflect on this journey of motherhood, I feel compelled to share just how deeply your kindness and support have impacted my life.

As a woman with PCOS who underwent a laparoscopic right paratubal cystectomy just a year before conceiving, my pregnancy journey was filled with uncertainty. On top of that, I carried the weight of going through this season without the support of my child’s father. I often found myself feeling vulnerable, confused, and unsure of my next steps.

But from the moment I walked through your doors, Alcove Health Women’s Clinic became a safe space for me to simply be myself. You welcomed me with open hearts, listened to me even in my silence, and spoke life into me when I needed it most. Your encouragement reminded me that I was not alone and that I was stronger than I realized.

I will never forget the ultrasounds with the sweetest, most down-to-earth nurse, Kinta, whose gentle spirit helped me treasure each milestone. My advocate, Jenn, was truly a blessing—checking in on me, reminding me of my worth, and constantly affirming that I am an amazing mother. Those words have carried me through sleepless nights and challenging days.

Even after my son was born, your generosity continued to shine. You provided us with clothing, blankets, a diaper bag, diapers, and wipes. With your help, and the support of a few other organizations, I have not had to buy a single diaper or pack of wipes in nearly a year—and now my little boy will soon be turning one. That is an incredible gift, and one that has lightened my load in ways I cannot fully express.

The strength and poise I carry as a mother today are in part because of the love, light, and encouragement I received from all of you at Alcove Health Women’s Clinic. You reminded me that even in the hardest seasons, hope remains.

From the depths of my heart, thank you for being a light in my life and in the lives of so many women. I will forever be grateful for the way you poured into me and my son with such compassion and grace.”

Mircile’s words are a powerful reminder that your giving is so much more than a donation, it’s meeting practical needs for Ja’Mari, it’s hope in the midst of fear, and it’s strength for a mom learning to believe in herself.

Stories like theirs are only possible because of you. Thank you for pouring love and light into women like Mircile and her son every single day.
