Host a Baby Shower
Care Net Peninsula Baby Showers are a meaningful way for churches and groups to support local moms by collecting much-needed baby items for families served through the ministry. These showers are designed as donation-driven events that also help raise awareness about the mission and work of Care Net Peninsula within your church or group.
Churches can invite a Care Net Peninsula speaker to share about the ministry, the needs in our community, and ways individuals can get involved.
Great For: Women’s Ministry, Youth Groups, Small Groups, Service Projects, Church Outreach Events
Sponsor an In-Person LEAP Class
LEAP Classes provide moms and dads with practical education, encouragement, and support as they navigate parenting and everyday life. Throughout the year, Care Net Peninsula offers in-person classes covering a wide range of topics designed to equip and strengthen families.
Classes have included sessions led by midwives, OB/GYNs, pediatricians, budgeting and workforce professionals, and local churches who come alongside parents to offer encouragement, discipleship, and practical guidance. Some classes focus on parenting skills and child development, while others help parents better understand the Gospel, learn how to share their faith with their children, or grow spiritually.
Churches can get involved by sponsoring a class and helping cover the cost of books, meals, gifts, childcare, supplies, or other class needs. If you or someone in your congregation has experience, a practical skill, or a class idea that could serve parents well, we would love to partner with you.
